This week, new documents were released following a Canadian Freedom of Information Act request, finally shedding some light on the mysterious high-altitude shootdown events of February of 2023. That month, multiple unidentified aerial objects (referred to as ‘UAPs’ by authorities, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) tracked by radar systems across North America and promptly shot down by U.S. and Canadian forces. These events were the first ever live engagement over the continental U.S. and North America in general since NORAD’s founding, and was a major milestone in America’s history.
The incidents are still largely shrouded in mystery, and these images and documents are the first new information we have about the events since the media was covering the story last year.
As far as I can tell, these new documents were first shared by Daniel Otis of CTV news, and stem from a FOIA request put in to Canadian authorities by X user AltreonZ. The 335 page document-dump mentions all three UAP shootdown incidents, but seems to primarily focus on the UAP that was shot down over Deadhorse, Alaska, on February 10th, 2023.
If you aren’t familiar with this story and need to get caught up, you can get caught up by watching a video I did on the story back in February, which provides an exhaustive overview of each shootdown incident. It’s available to watch on Youtube and Bitchute, or you can watch it below:
I also want to first give credit to those users who were instrumental in obtaining this new information about the shootdown events. CTV News (Daniel Otis) who appears to have filed the Canadian FOIA and retrieved these documents himself, Reddit users u/dsotis, u/AtreonZ, /dicedicedone, and /u/wrexxxxxxx, who put all the good summary threads on Reddit together, which provided much welcomed clarity to the story.
The Shootdown
Shortly after U.S. fighter jets shot the Chinese surveillance balloon out of the sky, the military had supposedly adjusted the sensitivity of their radar systems, hoping to identify and neutralize any other unidentified objects that might be in our airspace that we previously had no idea about. Shortly after these adjustments were made to the radar systems, multiple unidentified high-altitude objects were detected over North America.
On February 9th, a high-altitude object the size of a small car was detected entering U.S. airspace near Alaska. On February 10th, the object was shot down by an F-22 fighter jet over the Beaufort Sea.
Below is a snapshot of the map so you can see exactly what part of Alaska the object was shot down over. In this case, it was shot down over Deadhorse.
This is the same object whose recovery operations were recorded and posted to YouTube, a video I cover in detail in my '2023 Aerial Incursions' video linked above.
What I find particularly compelling about this story isn't just the unidentified object shot down over Deadhorse, but the fate of the YouTuber who originally uploaded the footage of the recovery operations that followed. Despite the video gaining thousands of views and seemingly aligning with his goal of growing his brand new Youtube channel, he mysteriously deleted it.
Following the deletion, speculation erupted in the comments section until the YouTuber explained that he removed the video because he didn't want his boss to catch him "goofing around at work," as he'd done during the recording. However, this explanation seems inconsistent, given that he felt comfortable enough at the time to record over 10 minutes of footage, edit it, and post it online.
This strange turn of events adds an intriguing layer to the overall mystery, and aligns perfectly with the type of strategies employed by the Establishment and our intelligence agencies to keep a lid on incredibly secretive incidents and activities. Take the media black-out and disinformation campaign around the Roswell crash as a perfect example; at first, after the craft was first discovered, the newspapers proudly printed a headline news story about how the RAAF had recovered a flying disk. After the story was published, the media outlet was apparently pressured by the U.S. military to never speak about the crash, and instead tell its readers that it wasn’t a flying disk after all, but rather a weather balloon.
Anyway, I re-uploaded a copy of that footage, and you can watch it below and on Youtube:
On February 16, 2023, US President Joe Biden stated that the downed object was probably a civilian-owned balloon and "most likely tied to private companies, recreation or research institutions”.
The unidentified flying object was described as cylindrical, silver, and appearing to float. Fighter jets were scrambled and they conducted two flypasts on the object, one on the evening of February 9th, and another in the morning on February 10th. F-35 fighter jet pilots that were deployed to visually inspect the object determined that the object was uncrewed, meaning it was unmanned, and had no pilot.
A source that was apparently briefed on the intelligence reported to CNN that pilots gave differing accounts of what they had seen, with some even reporting that the objected interfered with their onboard sensors, although other pilots did not report this. Other pilots stated that they could not identify any means of propulsion on the object, and another pilot told CNN that the craft didn’t appear to have any surveillance equipment attached to it.
At approximately 10:45 a.m. AKST on February 10, the object was shot down by an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile launched from an F-22 Raptor based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The object landed on the frozen sea off Deadhorse, near the Prudhoe Bay Oil Field, in the territorial waters of the United States. A Department of Defense official said it broke into pieces.
New Documents & Images Released
According to documents shared by Nick Gold (@DeclassifyUAP on X/Twitter) following a FOIA request put in by @AtreonZ and @dsotis, the February 2023 UAP incident over Deadhorse, Alaska (UAP 20) involved a metallic floating object that was intercepted and later recovered. The logs show that the object was identified as a UAP by Maj Pandy at AADS MCC, with the recovery operations captured in real-time.
In short, here is what these new documents reveal, and the key points:
UAP #20 (the Deadhorse, Alaska object) was shot down
UAP #20 was recovered and is currently being exploited
They contradict previous public statements made by Prime Minister Trudeau and other authoritative entities that suggested none of the February UAPs had been recovered.
The documents detail actions taken by both U.S. and Canadian forces, including intercept orders given by General VanHerck. An F-22 was dispatched for the engagement, which ultimately downed UAP 20, marking it as a significant event. The logs also highlight classified communications and coordination efforts throughout the day, and environmental factors such as snowfall that complicated the recovery process. These revelations, confirmed by a memo to Prime Minister Trudeau, contradict previous public statements that suggested none of the February UAPs had been recovered.
One detail that might be easy to miss but I found to be quite interesting was the tidbit about how the ground station was ordered to switch to diesel backup during all of this. Why might that be? I saw that other users on X were curious about the same detail. Perhaps there is an easy explanation for that, but I don’t have it right now.

The below links were shared by a user who was trying to locate the exact location the object would have been shot down at, based off of the Youtube video showing the recovery operation. As it turns out, this guy was really accurate if you compare his guess in this thread with the actual map of its location shown at the beginning of this article**
“Based on the flight radar screenshot he posted in the video, he was in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska”: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Prudhoe+Bay,+AK/@70.3266528,-148.8216503,77730m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5120759875720bb9:0x9b76efe3a7385345!8m2!3d70.2268843!4d-148.400021!16zL20vMHFncGQ?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
“If the flight radar data is accurate, the object they were searching for would have been in ~ this area: https://i.postimg.cc/RZ22Vs2m/mrr5pxsf7c.png
(base on the fact that this is where they were circling at the time)…
Coordinates: 71.18820281306935, -145.2330450661198 (and of course Google Maps has super low/blurred satellite photos of this area...)”
I checked those coordinates, and they are quite close to where the object was confirmed to have landed!

Images of Released of Mysterious object shot down over Yukon in 2023 (CTV)
https://archive.is/IbiKM
🛸 An image of an unidentified object shot down over Canada's Yukon territory in February 2023 has been released through a Canadian freedom of information request, revealing a complex sequence of events and decisions regarding its public disclosure.
The image, described as a grainy photocopy of an email printout, depicts a cylindrical object with a metallic top and a white body, suspended by a 20-foot wire holding a package. It was taken from an aircraft below, although confirmation of this is pending.
Despite being cleared for release on February 15, 2023, the image was withheld due to concerns that its publication could generate public confusion, even though it had been declassified and approved for social media use by military officials.
The incident underscores a failure in U.S. and Canadian defense systems to promptly and accurately identify objects in their airspace, contributing to ongoing secrecy and fueling conspiracy theories about unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).
